Earlier, we reported about the makers of Thamma, starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna, releasing the film's first single 'Tum Mere Na Huye'. The other day, Rashmika took to her Instagram to share details about the making of the song. In a long post, Rashmika said that her film's director Aditya Sarpotdar and producers considered shooting the song at a "very stunning location" towards the end of a schedule that lasted around 12 days. The actor wrote, "On the last day, our producers and our director suddenly had a banging idea where they went like.. ‘wait, why don’t we shoot a song here.. It’s a crazy cool location so why not' and I was like why not and in about 3-4 days we made all of this possible." She went on to add, "Watching it at the end we were only massively surprised."

She also gave "a big shout out to all the dancers, the costume department, the set guys, the lights department, the direction department, the production department. This song was possible because of your hard work."

The actor referred to her and Ayushmann's characters in the film while urging viewers to enjoy the song. "They are now your Tadaka and Alok. I hope you love them, feel them, dance with them and enjoy watching them."

Thamma stars Ayushmann Khurrana as Alok Goyal and Rashmika Mandanna as Tadaka. Alok becomes a vampire following an exchange with Yakshasan (Nawazuddin Siddiqui). As Alok learns how to navigate his newfound powers, he forms a romantic relationship with Tadaka while one big, altercation with Yakshasan awaits him.

Aditya Sarpotdar has directed the film from a screenplay by Niren Bhatt, Arun Fulara and Suresh Mathew. It also stars Paresh Rawal and Sathyaraj in key roles.

Produced by Maddock Films' Dinesh Vijan and Amar Kaushik as well as co-produced by Sharada Karki Jalota and Pooja Prem Patheja, Thamma is slated for an October 21 release.
