Green Gold Animation, the creators of the children's animation series, Chhota Bheem, are set to back the adult animation film, The Assassin. Variety revealed that Green Gold Animation will partner with the UK based studio, Red Kite Animation.

The Assassin will follow the story of an average youth, living in a broken city in the future, who is pushed to his limits after an catastrophical tragedy. He takes matters into his own hands to find justice within a system that is warped by corporate greed.

Martyn Pick will be writing and directing The Assassin. He has previously directed Ultramarines: A Warhammer 40,000 Movie. Martha MacDiarmid is serving as a script editor for the film.

The Chhota Bheem franchise was initially created as an animated show, in 2008, for the Pogo Channel. The franchise was latter expanded to include films, which featured several characters from the Hindu pantheon like, Krishna, Hanuman, and Ganesha.
