Usey Kehna’, a song from Dhanush and Kriti Sanon’s upcoming romantic-drama, Tere Ishk Mein was unveiled by the makers on Monday. Composed by AR Rahman, the song features vocals by Nitesh Aher and Jonita Gandhi and has lyrics by Irshad Kamil.

The music video of the song opens with a conversation between Shankar (Dhanush) and Mukti (Kriti) where he asks her if she ever loved him truly. She looks at him with tears floating down her cheeks. Her voiceover begins where she says that girls often dream about marrying princes. The visuals feature her visiting his place wearing a slick black dress. At this point, the vocals by Nitesh reach a reverberating crescendo as the music features a set of faint piano notes. The song then gives an upbeat musical release, reaching an epic-like quality, carrying the intensity of emotions of love and separation between Shankar and Mukti. They also share some warm, heartfelt moments, presumably from the opening phases of their relationship. The vocals by Jonita briefly come towards the end, blending well with the overall tone.

Sharing the song, the makers wrote in caption, “The one you love the most is the one who breaks you the most! Presenting "Usey Kehna (Song)", from the grand world of Shankar and Mukti - 'Tere Ishk Mein'. Starring Dhanush and Kriti Sanon.”

Tere Ishk Mein has been written by Himanshu Sharma and Neeraj Yadav and directed by Aanand L Rai. It marks the third collaboration between the Dhanush and Aanand, after Ranjhanaa (2013) and Atrangi Re (2021). This is the first time Kriti is joining forces, both with the actor and the director. Aanand L Rai last directed Raksha Bandhan, starring Akshay Kumar, in 2022.

Tere Ishk Mein is slated to release on November 28 this year.
