Vikramaditya Motwane's Black Warrant, Rohit Saraf's Mismatched to return with new seasons

Vikramaditya Motwane’s prison-drama series Black Warrant will be returning for Season 2, the streaming platform Netflix announced on Wednesday. Besides, Rohit Saraf's romantic-drama Mismatched will also be returning with the fourth season, which will be the finale of the show. The streamer had earlier also announced the second season of Maamla Legal Hai. The show has now begun filming.

Starring Zahaan Kapoor, Black Warrant is a dramatised adaptation of the book Black Warrant: Confessions of a Tihar Jailer by Sunil Gupta and Sunetra Choudhury, also features Rahul Bhat (Kennedy, 2023), Sidhant Gupta (Jubilee, 2023), Paramvir Singh Cheema and Anurag Thakur, among others. It is presented by Applause Entertainment and is produced by Andolan Production in association with Confluence Media. The first season aired on Netflix on January 10 this year.

Netflix shared a poster of the show featuring Zahaan to make the announcement. They wrote in caption, “Welcome to Season 2, Jailer sahab. Black Warrant Season 2 is coming soon, only on Netflix.”

Mismatched is a young-adult romantic-drama series which also stars Prajakta Koli, Ranvijay Singh, Vidya Malvade, Vihaan Samat, Devyani Shorey, Priya Banerjee and Taaruk Raina in pivotal roles. Its first season released in 2020, followed by two more seasons in 2022 and 2024.

Maamla Legal Hai is a courtroom-comedy series which stars Ravi Kishan, Nidhi Bisht, Anant V Joshi, Naila Grewal and Yashpal Sharma. The first season of the show aired last year.
