The release date of Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia’s folk-thriller Vvan—Force of the Forrest is out. The film is slated to release on May 15, 2026, the makers, Ektaa R Kapoor’s Balaji Motion Pictures and Arunabh Kumar’s The Viral Fever (TVF), announced on Friday.

Vvan is being helmed by Arunabh and Deepak Mishra, who has previously directed the acclaimed web-series Panchayat.

Balaji Motion Pictures took to social media on Friday to make the announcement, “The forest has whispered. The force will be unleashed on 15th May, 2026! Get ready for the big screen adventure!”

Earlier, the motion-poster of the film was shared which showed an animated image of a man holding a lamp is seen running away from a kingdom in the heart of a forest. Just then, two eyes pop up out of the forest.

When Tamannaah was announced as being a part of the film, the makers had also shared a promo featuring a woman in red saari getting out of a car and running with bare feet. She lights a lamp and takes it along as she enters a dense forest. A board at the entrance reads, “Warning! Entering the jungle after sunset is prohibited”. 

When it comes to other projects, Sidharth is gearing up for the release of rom-com Param Sundari alongside Janhvi Kapoor, while Tamannaah was last seen in the Telugu film Odela 2. She also featured in the dance number ‘Nasha’ in Ajay Devgn-headliner Raid 2.
