1. Costao (ZEE5, May 1): Nawazuddin Siddiqui plays the role of a determined customs officer in this biographical crime-drama based on the life of Costao Fernandes. Set in the 1990s Goa, the film explores Costao’s fight against a gold smuggling syndicate in a system that is marred by corruption. Along with professional setbacks, Costao is also accused to be absconding in a murder case. The film is directed by Sejal Shah (producer of Nawazuddin's Serious Men) and also stars Priya Bapat, Kishor Kumar Huli, Gagan Dev Riar and Hussain Dalal in pivotal roles.

2. Kull (JioHotstar, May 2): Headlined by Nimrat Kaur, Kull centres around power struggles in a royal palace. After the death of a tyrannical patriarch, multiple people contest to the throne, including the characters played by Ridhi Dogra and Amol Parashar. The thriller show is created by Ekta Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor and directed by Sahir Raza

3. Black White & Grey - Love Kills (Sony LIV, May 2): This six-episode docu-drama delves into the life of a young man from a marginalized background who is accused of multiple murders, including that of a girl he loved. The show follows an investigative journalist, Daniel Gary, as he goes on uncovering the truth behind the case. It is shot in the form of a documentary with dramatized recreation, creating the illusion of real investigation. Directed by Pushkar Sunil Mahabal, the series stars Tigmanshu Dhulia, Mayur More and Palak Jaiswal in pivotal roles.

4. The Brown Heart (JioHostar, May 2): Directed by Indo-American physician and filmmaker Dr. Nirmal Joshi, The Brown Heart is a documentary feature that talks about the rising cases of heart attack in young Indians and the South Asian diaspora. It features some personal stories of survivors along with extensive medical research and perspectives of renowned cardiologists to uncover the reasons behind the silent epidemic.
