A new poster from Akshay Kumar’s upcoming historical-drama Kesari- Chapter 2 was unveiled by the makers on Friday. Directed by Karan Singh Tyagi, who has co-written it with Amritpal Singh Bindra, the film also stars R Madhavan and Ananya Panday in pivotal roles.

The makers shared a motion poster that showcases Akshay as lawyer C Sankaran Nair, who fought against the British Empire after the Jallianwala Bagh massacre. His voiceover is heard saying, “British Empire ko apne hi court me ghutnon pe girke pure Hindustan se maafi maangni hogi (The British empire has to bend on their knees in their own court to apologise to the people of India)”.

Sharing the poster, the makers wrote, “One man. Against an entire empire. Introducing C Sankaran Nair in Kesari—Chapter 2.”

The film is adapted from the book 'The Case That Shook The Empire', written by Pushpa Palat and Raghu Palat. It is a spiritual successor to the 2019 film Kesari, which also starred Akshay in the lead and told the story of the Battle of Saragarhi, where 21 Sikh soldiers fought against an army of 10,000 troops.
