The teaser and release date of Chhorii 2 was unveiled by the makers on Tuesday.

The film is a sequel to the 2021 folk-horror Chhorii and will see Nushrratt Bharuccha reprise the role of Sakshi. Soha Ali Khan is also playing a key role in the film which also features Gashmeer Mahajani, Saurabh Goyal, Pallavi Ajay, Kuldeep Sareen, and Hardika Sharma. Chhorii 2 has been helmed by Vishal Furia who also directed the first part which was based on his own Marathi film Lapachhapi (2016).

The over a minute teaser takes us back into the patriarchy- horror world of Chhorii. We get glimpses of little girls creepily saying “Mother is calling.” In a scene Nushrrat’s Sakshi is in a well, surrounded by strange women in ghoonghats. Soha is seen as a demonic presence with white eyes, telling Nushrratt to forget her daughter. “She is mine,” she screams.

Chhorii 2 will release on Prime Video on April 11.
