Emraan Hashmi will be seen next in Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani’s Excel Entertainment-backed production Ground Zero. As per a press release shared by the makers, the film’s teaser will be attached with shows of Salman Khan’s upcoming actioner Sikandar, which is releasing in theatres on March 30. Ground Zero is scheduled to hit the big screen on April 25, 2025.

Emraan had announced the wrap up of the film about three years back in November, 2022. The film is directed by Tejas Deoskar.

Ground Zero follows Emraan’s character, a Deputy Commandant in the Border Security Force (BSF), as he leads a two-year-long investigation into a high-stakes national security threat. The film is inspired by an untold battle that remained hidden from the public eye, and brings to light BSF’s best operation in the last 50 years, which was officially awarded in 2015.

Emraan was last seen in the OTT film Ae Watan Mere Watan in the role of political activist Ram Manohar Lohia. Theatrically, he was last seen in the Salman Khan starrer Tiger 3 where he played the antagonist.
