The trailer of Salman Khan headliner Sikandar was unveiled by the makers on Sunday. The big-scale actioner, directed by AR Murugadoss (Ghajini, Spyder), also stars Rashmika Mandanna.
The trailer shows Salman in the role of Sanjay, the 'Raja Sahab' of Rajkot. We are informed that about 49 cases are pending against him. "Everytime he comes back home after breaking somebody's jaw," says Rashmika, describing him. "Aap humko bahar dhoondh rahe hain, aur hum aapka aapke ghar pe intezaar kar rahe hain (You are looking for me outside, and I am here waiting at your house)," says Salman, a twist on the famous dialogue from Deewar (1975), which his father Salim Khan co-wrote with Javed Akhtar. Salman's Sanjay leaves Rajkot and reaches Mumbai, along with his entourage, for a mission. The rest of the trailer shows Salman engaging in intense action sequences which feature him slicing goons with a javelin.
Apart from Salman and Rashmika, Sikandar also features Sharman Joshi and Kajal Aggarwal. Sathyaraj plays the villain in the film.
Sikandar has been produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. It will release in theatres on March 30.
