The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has asked the makers of Aamir Khan starrer Sitaare Zameen Par to include a quote by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the film’s opening disclaimer section.

As per a report in The Hindustan Times, the quote refers to the year 2047, which marks 100 years since India’s independence. The report doesn’t state the specific quote mentioned.

Along with that, the CBFC has asked for four more changes in the film. It was reviewed by a nine-member revising committee headed by theatre veteran Waman Kendre. Such committees are constituted only when the chairperson of the board or the film’s producer requests a revision after an initial review.

The board has instructed the makers to replace the word ‘business woman’ with ‘business person’; shorten a 30-second visual disclaimer to a 26-second voice-over; remove a visual having the word 'kamal' (lotus) and replace Michael Jackson with Lovebirds in the subtitle.

These changes have reportedly been accepted by Aamir Khan’s production house. The film’s runtime stands at 2 hours 38 minutes.

Sitaare Zameen Par has been directed by RS Prasanna and also stars Genelia Deshmukh in a pivotal role. A remake of the Spanish film Champions, it is also a spiritual successor to Aamir’s Taare Zameen Par (2007).
