What’s streaming on Hindi OTT: From Prithviraj Sukumaran and Ibrahim Ali Khan’s family-drama to Vaani Kapoor’s crime-thriller

Sarzameen (July 25, JioHotstar): With Prithviraj Sukumaran, Kajol and Ibrahim Ali Khan in the lead, this film centres around a father, Vijay Menon, who works in the army and shares a turbulent relationship with his underconfident son, Harman, played by Ibrahim. Soon, Vijay finds himself pitted against his son when he turns into a militant. The film blends elements of a war-actioner and family drama. Backed by Karan Johar’s Dharmatic Entertainment, the film marks the directorial debut of Boman Irani’s son, Kayoze Irani.

Mandala Murders (July 25, Netflix): Next up on Hindi OTT this week is this crime-thriller headlined by Vaani Kapoor, Surveen Chawla and Vaibhav Raj Gupta. It is set in the quaint town of Charandaspur, where two detectives, played by Vaani and Vaibhav, unravel a chilling conspiracy of ritualistic killings tied to a centuries-old secret society. Surveen plays a local politician who is caught up in these murders. The mystery behind the killings is linked to an unknown mystical force and there are some symbols which ultimately will lead to the reveal. Directed by Gopi Puthran and Manan Rawat, it also stars Jameel Khan and Ragubir Yadav in pivotal roles. It is backed by Aditya Chopra’s Yash Raj Films.

Rangeen (July 25, Prime Video): Backed by Kabir Khan, this dark-comedy drama features Viineet Kumar Siingh as Adarsh leading a seemingly simple life which turns chaotic when he discovers his wife Naina (Rajshri Deshpande) is cheating on him with a younger man (Taaruk Raina). In order to take revenge on her, Adarsh, who is a mild-mannered newspaper proprietor, decides to become a gigolo. What follows is a wildly unpredictable journey. The show is created and written by Amardeep Galsin and Amir Rizvi and directed by Kopal Naithani and Pranjal Dua.
