A second trailer of Ajay Devgn’s Son of Sardaar 2 was unveiled by the makers on Tuesday. Directed by Vijay Kumar Arora and written by Jagdeep Singh Sidhu and Mohit Jain, the film also stars Mrunal Thakur, Ravi Kishan, Mukul Dev, Chunky Panday, Vindu Dara Singh, Deepak Dobriyal, and Sanjay Mishra in pivotal roles.

The trailer features a voiceover of Ajay as he goes on explaining the chaos that his character Jassi is stuck in. There are four women running after him, a mafia lord, played by Ravi, comes after his life and Deepak’s character cross dressing as a woman flirts with him. The trailer is filled with some comedic instances. At one point, Jassi starts to run away from his problems only to be told by his mother to fight back. The trailer ends with Jassi deciding to take action about matters that affect his loved ones.

The film has been in the spotlight for Ajay’s unusual dance steps in songs like, ‘Pehla Tu Duja Tu’ and ‘The Po Po Song’. The 2012 film was a remake of SS Rajamouli’s Telugu film Maryada Ramanna (2010) and told the story of Jaswinder, played by Ajay, who falls in love with Sukhmit, played by Sonakshi Sinha, which leads to an angry exchange between him and her family. It was directed by Ashwini Dhir and also starred Sanjay Dutt.

Presented by Jio Studios and Devgn Films, Son of Sardaar 2 is produced by Ajay Devgn, Jyoti Deshpande, NR Pachisia, and Pravin Talreja, and co-produced by Kumar Mangat Pathak. It was earlier set to be released in theatres on July 25 but got delayed due to the unprecedented reaction to Mohit Suri’s Saiyaara. Son of Sardaar 2 now will hit the screen on August 1.
