‘Pehla Tu Duja Tu’, a song from Ajay Devgn and Mrunal Thakur’s upcoming comedy-drama Son of Sardaar 2, was unveiled by the makers on Monday. It is sung by Vishal Mishra and features lyrics written by Jaani.
The music video of the song is set in a graveyard where Ajay and Mrunal are seen together. Just as they are about to kiss, ghosts start to come up from the graves, turning into humans. The vocals by Vishal begin, containing a heartfelt warmth. The lyrics underline the feeling of love for a special person. The video is shot in the countryside, and Ajay and Mrunal are seen sitting in an old-school car.
Directed by Vijay Kumar Arora and written by Jagdeep Singh Sidhu & Mohit Jain, Son of Sardaar 2 also stars Sahil Mehta, Kubbra Sait, Sanjay Mishra, and Ravi Kishan in pivotal roles. Its teaser was unveiled recently, which introduced all the major characters and contained a series of funny moments and banters between the characters. The film is set in Scotland, where Ajay's character is involved in a series of misadventures.
While the plot details of the sequel are still under wraps, the 2012 prequel was a remake of SS Rajamouli’s Telugu film Maryada Ramanna (2010) and told the story of Jaswinder, played by Ajay, who falls in love with Sukhmit, played by Sonakshi Sinha, which leads to an angry exchange between him and her family. It was directed by Ashwini Dhir and also starred Sanjay Dutt.
Presented by Jio Studios and Devgn Films, Son of Sardaar 2 is produced by Ajay Devgn, Jyoti Deshpande, N R Pachisia, and Pravin Talreja and co-produced by Kumar Mangat Pathak. It is set to be released in theatres on July 25.
