Actor-producer Nikhil Dwivedi took to Instagram stories on Tuesday to share a photo of his next film, titled Nagin. As per a press note shared by the makers, the film is being helmed by Saket Chaudhary (Hindi Medium, Shaadi Ke Side Effects). According to reports, it is set to be headlined by Shraddha Kapoor.

Taking to Instagram, Nikhil shared a photo of the bound script, decorated with flowers and wrote, “Makar Sankranti and Finally.” The film is subtitled as 'An epic tale of love and sacrifice'.

In an earlier interview with Bollywood Hungama, Nikhil spoke of the film and said, “Firstly, it's a completely brand-new subject. It has no connection with previous films. The reason for me making this film is that Indian folklore is actually very rich in ideas. We get very excited when a spider bites a man, and he becomes Spider-Man. But we kind of look down upon a woman turning into a snake. Give us a chance, and we’ll turn it on its head, and you will see quite a supernatural and different film.”

In the same interview, he spilled beans on casting Shraddha for the film. “It was decided from the beginning that only Shraddha Kapoor would play Nagin. We’re thrilled that she’s on board. She has an ethereal quality about her.”

Nikhil is known for acting in films like Tamanchey (2014), Hate Story (2012) and Shor In The City (2011) among others. As a producer, he has backed films like Veere Di Wedding (2018), Dabangg 3 (2019) and CTRL (2024).
