The trailer of Junaid Khan and Khushi Kapoor’s Loveyapa was unveiled by the makers on Friday. Directed by Advait Chandan, the rom-com also stars Ashutosh Rana and Kiku Sharda in pivotal roles. The film is a remake of the Tamil film Love Today.

The trailer opens with Junaid trying to convince Khushi’s father, played by Ashutosh, for marriage. Ashutosh puts a strange proposition in front of the two, to exchange their phones before marrying. As it happens, the two come across some secrets of each other, creating a lot of havoc and confusion. The film seems to tell a story of new age romance in the times of social media.

Speaking of the film at the trailer launch, Junaid's father Aamir Khan said that watching Khushi in it reminded him of her mother, the late Sridevi. “I always admired Sridevi as an actor and I couldn’t work with her unfortunately. But, Khushi is just too good in the film. Her performance reminded me of Sridevi in many ways.”
