Singer and music composer Himesh Reshammiya goes gun and pun blazing in the trailer of Badass Ravi Kumar, which was released by the makers on Sunday. Directed by Keith Gomes, the film stars Prabhu Deva in the role of the antagonist Carlos Pedro Panther. It also features actors like Kirti Kulhari, Saurabh Sachdeva, Sanjay Mishra, Johny Lever, Sunny Leone and Simona.

The film is a spin-off and is centered on Ravi Kumar, a character with a penchant for dialoguebaazi, played by Himesh in his 2014 film The Xpose. Described as an 80s style actioner, the trailer opens with Himesh cutting up goons with a chainsaw. It goes on to show him engaging in hilariously over-the-top action and spurting jaw-dropping lines like “Sudhar warna guzar jaega (Straighten up or get killed)”. There is a mention of a thin plotline, which involves Kirti’s character employing Ravi Kumar to get a necklace from a ‘highly-secure’ castle of a Sheikh. Prabhu Deva is also seen as the colourful villain Carlos.

The dialogues for Badass Ravi Kumar have been penned by Bunty Rathore, who also wrote the lines for The Xpose (2014). The film is slated to release on February 7.
