Two years after its title announcement, singer and music composer’s Himesh Reshammiya’s “high-octane action musical” Badass Ravi Kumar finally has a release date. The film, a spinoff of Himesh’s highly meme-d 2014 film The Xpose, is scheduled to hit theatres on February 7. It’s trailer will be unveiled on January 5. Badass Ravi Kumar has been directed by Keith Gomes.

An announcement video of the film was shared by the makers. It features Himesh wearing shades and firing some pistols. “Tu bura hai toh main bure logo ka nawab hoon (If you are bad, I am your dad),” Himesh says in a voiceover. “Tu bade hokar bigda hoga, main bachpan se hi kharab hoon (You must have gotten spoilt in your youth, I am spoilt since childhood).”

The makers, in a press note, described the movie as an “unapologetically 80s kind of film.”

As per reports, Prabhu Deva might be playing the role of the antagonist “Carlos Pedro Panther” in the film. Badass Ravi Kumar is a spinoff of the character Ravi Kumar played by Himesh in The Xpose. The film also boasts of continuing “The Xpose Universe.”
