Ayushmann Khurrana recently revealed that when he was a radio jockey, he had a chance to interview Shah Rukh Khan. It was during an ad shoot that Shah Rukh was a part of and Ayushmann had a hour time slot for the interview. However, Shah Rukh got busy with the ad and the interview couldn’t take place.

During a conversation with Galatta Plus, Ayushmann recalled the incident and revealed what he would have asked the superstar had the interview taken place. “It was a different me at that time. I would have asked for a role probably; I was a struggling actor. ‘Sir, mujhe role dedo; main actor banana chaahata hu (Sir please give me a role, I want to be an actor)’,” Ayushmann said.

He added, “I had written a note for him as well. I wrote, ‘Dear sir, I’m a huge fan. I met you at Kasol in Himachal during my first-ever vacation with my family at a hill station. You were wearing a red suit, shooting for Maya Memsaab (1993), and I was that kid in denim shorts. Now I’m 22 and want to be an actor.’ I gave the note to an assistant, but don’t know if he ever got it or not. I knew I couldn’t take the interview then because he was busy. I was supposed to get like half-an-hour slot or something. I waited for like four to five hours, but he was busy with the ad.”

Ayushmann told Shah Rukh about the incident later who said that he never received the note. “The AD must have taken a glance at it and thrown it away,” Ayushman said.

Ayushmann was last seen in Dream Girl 2 which released in 2023. He is currently shooting for the next film in Maddock’s horror-comedy universe Thama.
