Shah Rukh Khan, Madhuri Dixit and Karisma Kapoor’s Dil To Pagal Hai to re-release in theatres

The Shah Rukh Khan, Madhuri Dixit and Karisma Kapoor starrer musical drama Dil To Pagal Hai is set to re-release in theatres. The Yash Chopra directorial, which originally released in 1997, will hit the screens again on February 28.

Production house Yash Raj Films took to Instagram on Monday to share a poster of the film and make the announcement, “Dil To Pagal Hai is back in theatres this week! Experience the magic and romance once again, 28th February onwards.” The producer tagged PVR Cinemas and INOX Movies in the announcement post.

Dil To Pagal Hai revolves around a love triangle between three dancers played by Shah Rukh, Madhuri and Karisma. The film was the second biggest grosser of 1997 after Border. It won three National Awards in 1998 for Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment, Karisma for Best Supporting Actress and Shiamak Davar won for Best Choreography.

At the 43rd Filmfare awards too the film garnered several accolades for Best Film, Best Director (Yash Chopra), Best Actor (Shah Rukh Khan), Best Actress (Madhuri Dixit), Best Supporting Actress (Karisma Kapoor), Best Music Director (Uttam Singh), Best Dialogue (Aditya Chopra) and Best Art Direction (Sharmishtha Ray).

Dil To Pagal Hai is remembered for its songs, especially for its title track, ‘Are Re Are’, ‘Bholi Si Surat’ and ‘Le Gayi’.
