The Vicky Kaushal starrer period-drama Chhaava has become Hindi cinema’s first blockbuster for 2025. The Laxman Utekar directorial has witnessed a spike of 87.23 percent in earnings on its second Saturday. As per trade tracker Sacnilk, Chhaava collected Rs 44 crore on Saturday and its total net collection in India now stands at Rs 286.75 crore.
On its second Saturday, Chhaava recorded an impressive overall occupancy of 56.09 percent, with a total of 6,530 shows running across India. The film’s highest occupancy was in Pune at 85.75 percent across 774 shows. Chennai followed closely with an occupancy of 81.50 percent over 55 shows. In Mumbai, the film saw a 74 percent occupancy across 1,458 shows, while in Delhi-NCR, it recorded 46 percent occupancy with 1,241 shows.
Chhaava has surpassed the lifetime collections of Vicky’s previous blockbuster releases Uri: The Surgical Strike (Rs 244.14 crore) and Raazi (Rs 123.74 crore)
The film also stars Akshaye Khanna, Vineet Kumar Singh and Rashmika Mandanna.
