Kangana Ranaut’s Indira Gandhi biopic Emergency is set to release on OTT.

Kangana took to her Instagram stories on Friday to share a picture of the late Mrs Gandhi and herself in the role of the former prime minister in the film. “17th March releasing on Netflix,” she wrote below the picture.

Emergency released in theatres on January 17 this year after a lot of postponements because of tussle at the censors and Sikh organisations protesting against the portrayal of their community in the film. The movie wasn’t well received by both critics and audiences and could only recover about one-third of its reported budget of Rs 60 crore.

Directed by Kangana and written by Ritesh Shah, the film also starred Anupam Kher as Jayaprakash Narayan, Shreyas Talpade in the role of a young Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Milind Soman as Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw.
