‘Bharat’, a new song from John Abraham’s upcoming espionage thriller-drama The Diplomat was unveiled by the makers recently. The song is a modern rendition of the song ‘Bharat Humko Jaan Se Pyara Hai’ originally composed by AR Rahman and sung by Hariharan.

The new version has music by Manan Bhardwaj with lyrics by Manoj Muntashir. Hariharan has returned to give the vocals.

The music video shows John’s character trying tooth and nail to bring Sadia Khateeb, who plays a woman under distress in Pakistan, back home to India.

The Diplomat also features Sharib Hashmi, Kumud Mishra and Revathy in the role of the late Sushma Swaraj, former Minister of External Affairs. Directed by Shivam Nair, the film is slated to release on March 7.
