The trailer of Prime Video’s upcoming young-adult series Ziddi Girls was released on Monday. Created by Rangita and Ishita Pritish Nandy, the series has been directed by Shonali Bose along with Vasant Nath and Neha Veena Sharma.

The show has a bunch of first-time actors like Atiya Tara Nayak, Umang Bhadana, Zaina Ali, Deeya Damini and Anupriya Caroli alongside acclaimed actors like Simran, Nandita Das, Nandish Singh Sandhu, Lillete Dubey and Revathy.

The trailer takes us inside the halls of Matilda House, an all-girls college. The institute is filled with spirited women who wish to defy stereotypes challenge authority, break barriers, and fight for their future. As ambition collides with resistance, tensions ignite, turning the campus into a battleground of ideologies. Yet, amidst the chaos, there are moments of laughter, heartfelt connections, and unshakeable friendship.

Director Shonali said, “Ziddi Girls is not just another college drama—it’s a raw, unfiltered portrayal of what it means to be a young woman today. Each character is intricately crafted, their journeys so layered that they feel like people we’ve all known or been at some point in our lives.

Neha and Vasant added, "As writers and directors, we did extensive research while digging deep into our own college experiences so that Ziddi Girls would feel authentic, relevant and deeply relatable. College is where our identity gets shaped - a world brimming with possibility: friendships are fierce, dreams big, influences strong. Each character in Ziddi Girls brings their own fire to the narrative, making the series an exhilarating mix of heart, humour, and the spirit of rebellion.”

The series premieres on Prime Video on February 27.
