The song ‘Galatehmi’ from Ibrahim Ali Khan and Khushi Kapoor’s upcoming romantic-drama Nadaaniyan was unveiled by the makers on Monday. It is composed by Sachin-Jigar and has lyrics by Amitabh Bhattacharya and vocals by Tushar Joshi and Madhubanti Bagchi.
The music video opens with Ibrahim and Khushi parting ways and crying. The lyrics by Amitabh capture the essence of heartbreak, mixing up themes of misunderstanding that prevails in relationships. The music combines the soul-stirring feeling of heartache with elements of rock, mixing up the intense tunes of electric guitar and drums. The visuals feature Ibrahim and Khushi longing for each other, simmering with anger and regret. It also briefly features Suniel Shetty, Mahima Chaudhary, Dia Mirza and Jugal Hansraj.
Speaking of the song, Sachin-Jigar said in a statement, “‘Galatfehmi’ is meant to be felt, where raw emotions pour into every note. We wanted to create a track that pulls you in, that makes you sit with your emotions a little longer. I hope they connect with it as much as we did while creating it.”
Ibrahim added, “There’s something about the song that stays with you. It’s raw, real, and reflects the heartbreak we all experience. I’m excited to see how the audience connects with it. It’s a side of love and loss that’s both timeless and relatable.”
Khushi called it her favorite track from the film and said, “‘Galatfehmi’ hit me personally. I believe the audience will find a piece of themselves in the song, and I’m excited for people to experience it.”
Naadaniyan has been helmed by Shauna Gautam, who was an assistant director on Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. It is produced by Karan Johar’s Dharmatic Entertainment and will be released soon on Netflix.
