A new poster from Reema Kagti’s Superboys of Malegaon was unveiled by the makers on Wednesday. The film stars Adarsh Gourav, Vineet Kumar Singh, Shashank Arora, and Anuj Singh Duhan in the lead roles. The film’s trailer will be out next week.

In the poster, a man wearing red is posing with his back to the screen and arms widespread. He is looking at the wall opposite him which has a poster of Sholay. The caption to the post read, “Passion meets persistence and a small town creates a blockbuster story.”

Superboys of Malegaon is a film based on the life of Nasir Shaikh, an amateur filmmaker from the town of Malegaon in Maharashtra. The residents of the town look to Bollywood cinema for a much-needed escape from daily drudgery. Nasir gets inspired to make a film for the people of the town, by the people of the town. He bands together his ragtag group of friends to bring his vision to life.

It had its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) and was screened at the 68th BFI London Film Festival and Red Sea International Film Festival.

The film is written by Varun Grover and produced by Ritesh Sidhwani, Farhan Akhtar, Zoya Akhtar, and Reema. It is set to be released in theatres on February 28.
