Actor Priyanshu Painyuli recently penned an emotional note celebrating his experience working with Dhanush on Tere Ishk Mein, prompting a warm and appreciative response from the National Award–winning star.

Sharing a still from the film on Instagram, Priyanshu reflected on what it meant to collaborate with someone he has admired since his college days in Bengaluru. He recalled being drawn to Dhanush’s “control, commitment, and ability to transform”, citing some of his favourites from the actor’s filmography—from Aadukalam and Asuran to Maari, Raayan, Kuberaa, The Grey Man, and Raanjhanaa.

Priyanshu admitted that writing such a long post is unlike him, insisting it wasn’t “for social media” but a genuine expression of affection and gratitude. He shared that songs like 'Why This Kolaveri Di' and 'Rowdy Baby' have long been his go-to dance tracks and added that he had already conveyed his appreciation directly to Dhanush during filming. Calling Dhanush “one of the simplest and easiest stars I’ve ever worked with,” he said the experience is one he will “always cherish.” Signing off, he wrote, “Sometimes, I like to count my achievements in life… and this is one of them. — Ved to Shankar.”

Dhanush responded in the comments with equal warmth: “Thank you, brother. I’m honoured and deeply touched by your kind and sweet words. It was a joy working with you. Looking forward to more magical journeys together.” (sic)

Directed by Aanand L Rai, Tere Ishk Mein stars Dhanush and Kriti Sanon and is described as a spiritual successor to Raanjhanaa. The romantic drama follows Shankar, whose bond with Mukti—formed while she studies him for her PhD—takes unexpected turns as life pulls them apart and brings them together again years later.

The film recently crossed another landmark at the box office by amassing over Rs 100 crore at the global box office, becoming a massive feat for Dhanush, as it is now his highest-earning Hindi film and his first Rs 100 crore Bollywood film.
