Kartik Aaryan recently revealed that he initially refused to be a part of the Bhool Bhulaiyaa franchise.

At a recent session at the Red Sea International Film Festival Kartik said that when the sequel to the 2007 film was offered to him, he wasn’t much interested. “When the film first came to me, there was no story — just a sequel idea. I wasn’t keen.”

The actor, however, went on to add that T-Series head Bhushan Kumar, who produced the film, managed to convince him to join. “But Bhushan (Kumar) sir convinced me, we worked on it, and everything changed. Today, wherever I go, kids call me Rooh Baba. I’m glad I eventually did it,” he said.

Kartik was part of both Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 (2022) and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 (2024). He is currently gearing up for his next Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri, a romantic-comedy also starring Ananya Panday. The film is slated to release in theatres on December 25.
