Metro…In Dino (August 29, Netflix): Anurag Basu’s romantic-musical tells parallel stories of bittersweet relationships taking place in metropolitan cities exploring different shades of love and heartbreak. It is a spiritual sequel to Anurag's Life...In a Metro, which released in 2007. Starring Anupam Kher, Neena Gupta, Pankaj Tripathi, Konkona Sen Sharma, Ali Fazal, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Aditya Roy Kapur, Sara Ali Khan and Saswata Chatterjee, the film features a melodious soundtrack by Pritam which blends seamlessly with the storyline, underlining its complexities. It was released in theatres on July 4.

Songs of Paradise (August 29, Prime Video): Directed by Danish Renzu, this musical-drama film is based on the life of renowned Kashmir singer Raj Begum and stars Soni Razdan, Saba Azad, Zain Khan Durrani, Sheeba Chadha, Taaruk Raina, Shishir Sharma, and Lillete Dubey in pivotal roles. It tells the story of the first female singer at Radio Kashmir in a state marred with conflict. Speaking about the film earlier, Soni said, “It’s a powerful narrative that honours Kashmir’s musical legacy and captures the essence of her remarkable journey.” Songs of Paradise is presented by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani’s Excel Entertainment and produced by Apple Tree Pictures Production and Renzu Films Production.

Half CA Season 2: Next up on Hindi OTT this week is this TVF show starring Ahsaas Channa as she returns to the new season which follows her character, Archie Mehta’s journey to become a chartered accountant but this time with the hurdles of balancing her studies along with her articleship journey in a CA firm. On the other hand, her cousin is set to give another attempt at CA final exam. The series is directed by Pratish Mehta, developed by Arunabh Kumar and Harish Peddinti and written by Harish, CA Khushbu Baid and Tatsat Pandey. Also starring, Gyanendra Tripathi, Anmol Kajani, Prit Kamani, Rohan Joshi and Aishwarya Ojha, the show is currently streaming on Amazon miniTV.
