Ever since its announcement the other day, there have been some discussion around the AI-driven film Chiranjeevi Hanuman from producers Vikram Malhotra of Abundantia Entertainment and Vijay Subra of Collective Artists Network. Earlier, directors Vikramaditya Motwane and Anurag Kashyap called out the decision to make a film with AI. "Here is the man heading the Collective Artists Network that represents artists, writer, directors, now producing a film made by AI," said the Black Friday filmmaker in his long, scathing post on Instagram. At the same time, Vikramaditya Motwane criticised the use of AI over screenwriters and directors to create a film. On the other hand, Tamannaah Bhatia took to her Instagram Stories and described the film as "a phenomenal milestone not just for the film, but for storytelling itself." The actor also congratulated Vijay Subramaniam, the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Collective Artists Network, whose tech team is developing the film alongside literary experts and cultural scholars.

According to reports, Chiranjeevi Hanuman – The Eternal is set to be the first AI-generated film to hit theatres in India. Centred on its titular God's story, the film is slated to hit theatres on Hanuman Jayanti next year. According to the makers, the film is an “awe-inspiring, visual odyssey designed to be enjoyed as a shared experience in theaters.”

An AI-powered music band named Trilok is working on the film's music.
