Salman Khan took to social media on Monday to announce that he is postponing his “The Bollywood Big One UK tour,” in light of the Pahalgam attack which claimed 26 lives in Kashmir.

The tour was supposed to be held in Manchester and London on May 4 and 5, respectively. Apart from Salman, the event would have also featured performances from actors like Varun Dhawan, Kriti Sanon, Tiger Shroff, Madhuri Dixit and Sara Ali Khan, among others.

Salman took to Instagram to make the announcement. He posted a poster from the event and captioned the post, “In light of the recent tragic events in Kashmir, and with profound sadness, we have taken the difficult decision to postpone The Bollywood Big One shows, originally scheduled for May 4th and 5th in Manchester and London,” he wrote.

“While we understand how much our fans were looking forward to these performances, we feel it is only right to pause during this time of grief.
We sincerely apologise for any disappointment or inconvenience this may cause and deeply appreciate your understanding and support. New dates for the shows will be announced shortly,” he added.

Many trailer launches and events in the Hindi film industry are being cancelled in the aftermath of the attacks. Recently, actor Aamir Khan revealed that he skipped the screening for the re-release of Andaz Apna Apna (1994) as he was “badly affected” by the tragedy.
