Fawad Khan opened up recently about working with Vaani Kapoor in their upcoming romantic-drama Abir Gulaal. He called her a 'spontaneous actor especially with her dialogue delivery'.

Speaking about the experience of working with her, Fawad said, “It's been an amazing experience working with Vaani. She is also a very spontaneous actor, especially with her dialogue delivery! Vaani keeps the energy up on screen. If she can tone down the self-analysis and self-criticism a bit, that’s the only thing I can say after working with her because she is truly amazing.”

Vaani added, “Working with Fawad has been an incredible experience for an artiste like me. He is truly one of a kind. Fawad is super easy to collaborate with – no ego, no hassle. He is so gifted that you want to level up. I love the way he very organically says his lines during scenes; it looks very natural and doesn't look performative or rehearsed, and it doesn't come across like a scripted dialogue.”

Abir Gulaal is directed by Aarti S Bagdi and produced by Vivek B Agrawal, Avantika Hari, and Rakesh Sippy. It is set to be released in theatres on May 9.

The film marks Fawad's comeback to Bollywood after an unofficial ban on Pakistani artists working in Indian films since 2016. He has worked in various Hindi films in the past, including Khoobsurat (2014), Ae Dil Hai Mushkil (2016) and Kapoor & Sons (2016).
