Rajat Kapoor opened up about his role in the upcoming horror-drama series Khauf and called it to be a departure from what he has done before. The show also stars Monika Panwar, Abhishek Chauhan, Geetanjali Kulkarni, and Shilpa Shukla in pivotal roles.
Speaking about his role in it, Rajat said, “The character is unlike anything I’ve done before. All I knew was, when I got the call and read the material, I was genuinely excited. It felt like a big shift for me—a real departure from what I have done in the past.”
He added, “Sometimes, a role can get diluted or not live up to your expectations, but this one was quite the opposite. The shooting experience, the costumes, the makeup – everything elevated it further. This is one of the few projects I've worked on that I'm really looking forward to. I don't usually get this excited about my work, but this one is truly exciting.”
Smita Singh (writer of Sacred Games) serves as the creator and showrunner for the series, which is executive-produced by Sanjay Routray and Sarita Patil under the Matchbox Shots banner. It is directed by Pankaj Kumar and Surya Balakrishnan and is set to be released on Prime Video on April 18.
