The teaser of Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s upcoming film Costao was unveiled by the makers on Monday. Directed by Sejal Shah, the film also stars Priya Bapat, Kishor Kumar Huli, Gagan Dev Riar and Hussain Dalal among others.

The film is inspired by the life of Costao Fernandes, an honest customs officer from Goa who took on a mission in the 1990s against the largest gold smuggling attempt in India. The teaser begins with Nawazuddin, who plays Costao, having a conversation with his senior about the smuggling of 1500 kgs of gold in India. He vows to stop it. “I don’t do duty to follow procedures; I do it to catch criminals,” he says at one point. Kishor plays a politician, Alfanso D’Mello, who seems to be at loggerheads with Costao. Priya plays Costao's wife. At one point, Costao is seen in the police station, being talked roughly by the cops.
