Neeraj Ghaywan’s Homebound to be screened under Un Certain Regard section at Cannes Film Festival 2025

The director’s debut film Masaan was also selected to be screened at the festival in 2015

Neeraj Ghaywan’s upcoming film Homebound has been selected to be screened under the Un Certain Regard section at the Cannes Film Festival 2025. This is the director’s second film to be selected for the festival after his debut Masaan which premiered at Cannes Film Festival 2015.

The lineup for the festival was announced on Thursday. The category aims to give larger recognition to first and second films of filmmakers. Along with Neeraj’s film, the category also features Hollywood actor Scarlett Johansson’s directorial debut, Eleanor the Great, Hubert Charuel’s Meteors, Harris Dickinson’s Urchin, Akinola Davies Jr’s My Father’s Shadow, Stephane Demoustier’s L’inconnue de la Grande Arche, Kei Ishikawa’s A Pale View of the Hills, Harry Lighton’s Pillion and Morad Mostafa’s Aicha Can’t Fly Away among others.
