The trailer of Emraan Hashmi’s Ground Zero was unveiled on April 7 at an event in Mumbai. The launch was attended by the cast and crew along with ex-BSF Commandant Narendra Nath Dhar Dubey, whose life inspired the character of Emraan in the film. During the conversation with the media, Dubey recounted a chilling anecdote.

Dubey shared the incident which took place during an operation to capture the mastermind behind the Parliament attack, Baba Ghazi. “Amid heavy AK-47 fire, I was hit by multiple rounds. Thanks to the protection offered by my medal, most bullets were deflected—but one grazed me and remains lodged as a lasting reminder,” he said.

Emraan plays the role of Dubey in the film, who spearheaded a critical two-year investigation into a national security threat following the 2001 Parliament attack. This operation ultimately led to the identification and elimination of the terrorist mastermind Ghazi Baba in 2003.

Directed by Tejas Deoskar, the film is co-produced by Kassim Jagmagia, Vishal Ramchandani, Sundeep C Sidhwani, Arhan Bagati, Talisman Films, Abhishek Kumar, and Nishikant Roy. It is set to be released in theatres on April 25.
