Sunny Deol, who is soon going to be seen in Jaat, in a recent interview spoke about the current state of Bollywood and why he thinks too many opinions on set can “lead to mistakes.”

In an interview with journalist Komal Nahta, Sunny gave his two cents on the current, dismal state of Bollywood. “The passion that we possessed in our industry is somewhat lacking now. The southern industry learned from our films and have now overtaken us, that is why we are remaking their films,” he said.

The Gadar (2001) actor also stated that too many cooks spoil the broth and Bollywood is suffering from this problem. “The story is the hero and the director is the boss. We should work according to those two entities, but we think we know everything, and everyone who has a monitor in front of them will give their opinion, and that leads to mistakes,” he added.

Sunny also spoke about working with director Rajkumar Santoshi on Lahore 1947.“I think our collaboration is going to generate excitement because our previous three films became cult classics, and due to digital platforms, those films have stayed relevant and alive,” he said.

The actor’s next, Jaat, directed by Gopichand Malineni, also stars Randeep Hooda, Regina Cassandra, Viineet Kumar Siingh and Ramya Krishnan in pivotal roles.
