Kriti Sanon and Kajal starrer Do Patti will be released on Netflix on October 25, the makers announced on Monday. Helmed by debutant director Shashanka Chaturvedi, the film is written by Kanika Dhillon (Haseen Dillruba, Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba) and also stars Shaheer Sheikh, Tanvi Azmi, and Brijendra Kala in pivotal roles.

According to the makers, the film is a twisted tale about twin sisters (played by Kriti in a double role), and a determined police inspector (Kajol) seeking to uncover the truth in an attempted murder case. It is set against the misty hills of the fictional town of Devipur, Uttarakhand.

In the promo video, Kajol enters a café and finds Kriti seated there. She then proceeds to question her about some things only to learn that she’s dealing with twins. The video has meta references and an element of mystery to it. Sharing the video, the makers wrote, “Ab hoga khel shuru, lekin iss kahaani ke hai do pehlu(The game will begin now, but this story has two sides to it). Do Patti releases on 25 October, only on Netflix.”

The film is produced by Kanika Dhillon’s Kathha Pictures alongside Kriti Sanon’s Blue Butterfly Films.
