Production designer Rajat Poddar passed away due to cardiac arrest in London on Friday. Director Anees Bazmee confirmed the news on social media. Rajat is known for working on films like Fighter, Pathaan (2023), Barfi (2012) and Jagga Jasoos (2017). His recent work includes Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3.

Anees shared a photo with Rajat and wrote, “Lost a dear friend today. A great Human being and a Master Production Designer. Gone too soon.. You will forever be missed Rajat Da”.

Anees also shared in an interview with News18 that he had a conversation with Rajat just before he passed away. He said, “I am speechless. He was such a great man and a dear friend. Rajat was in London and we had a good conversation last night. He told me how he really liked the teaser of Bhool Bhulaiyya 3 and asked me to share it with him. In fact, he posted a story of the teaser after that."

There has been no official statement from Rajat’s family yet.
