Karan Johar is set to direct a star-studded web-series for Netflix. It is said to be a passion project for the director and will feature an ensemble of celebrated female actors.

The script for the series is finalised and it will go into production in early 2025 aiming for a 2026 release.

According to sources, “The web series now begins its casting stage and the idea is to bring together an ensemble of renowned actors. Being a Karan Johar show, the web series is considered to be Netflix's most ambitious upcoming project. It will be shot throughout 2025 and is set to stream in 2026.”

Karan Johar will also be making a grand action film for the big screen following this.

His last directorial was the Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt starrer Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani which released last year to positive reviews and did well at the box-office.

He has earlier directed for the Netflix anthalogy films Ghost Stories and Lust Stories.
