Anil Kapoor, Aditya Roy Kapur and Sobhita Dhulipala starrer The Night Manager nominated for International Emmys

The Night Manager, starring Anil Kapoor, Aditya Roy Kapur and Sobhita Dhulipala, has become the only Indian series to be nominated in the Best Drama Series category at the 2024 International Emmy Awards.

The awards ceremony will take place in New York City on November 25 and will be hosted by comedian Vir Das. The Night Manager will compete against shows like Les Gouttes de Dieu (Drops of God) from France, The Newsreader Season 2 from Australia, and Iosi, El Espia Arrepentido Season 2 from Argentina.

The series, directed by Sandeep Modi and Priyanka Ghose, is adapted from both -- the John le Carre's novel and the British show, starring Tom Hiddleston, Hugh Laurie and Olivia Colman. The Hindi version also stars Tillotama Shome, Ravi Behl, and Saswata Chatterjee.

Anil Kapoor, who plays a notorious arms dealer on the show, shared his reaction to the nomination. “I just couldn’t believe it. I called Sandeep (Sandeep Modi, the director) and the entire team. We were messaging each other,” shared Anil in an interview with NDTV. Director Sandeep Modi took to Instagram to shared a note which read, “In tears of disbelief and joy. Thank you team. Thank you, God.”
