Yash Raj Films (YRF) took to social media on Thursday to congratulate the makers of Stree 2 for its performance at the box-office. The Amar Kaushik directorial has managed to earn Rs 563.17 crore at the box-office, according to Sacnilk.com.

YRF wrote a short note in a social media post and said, “Heartiest congratulations to Dinesh Vijan, Maddock Films, Jio Studios & the entire cast & team of Stree 2 for the humongous box office success. You have set a new benchmark for everyone to strive for. The last two years have been simply phenomenal for Hindi films and the industry couldn't be happier”.

The film made Rs 2 crore on Wednesday in its fifth week since the release on Independence Day. It has emerged as the highest-grossing Hindi film of the year and broken several other records. It stars Rajkummar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor, Aparshakti Khurana, Abhishek Banerjee and Pankaj Tripathi in pivotal roles.
