Aanand L Rai recently opened up recently about working with Shah Rukh Khan in Zero (2018) and said that the superstar and him would discuss evening plans after pack-up from shoot. He also said that Shah Rukh would eat anything that is served with love.

In a conversation with Mukesh Chhabra on Mashable India, Aanand said, “If you give Shah Rukh tandoori chicken, coffee, and one of his beverages, he could live on that meal forever. But if something is served with love, he’ll eat anything.”

Further, the director also talked of his experience of working with Akshay Kumar and said, “Akshay doesn’t understand things if they’re too straightforward; he likes everything with a little ‘masala.’ He is very sensitive person but he doesn’t show. He also wants to enjoy the process. He wants to enjoy every moment. He has gotten everything in life because he is very hard working and very focused. He isn’t misunderstood by people. No matter how big a star he is, he never forgets his values.”

Zero also starred Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma in pivotal roles. It didn’t fare well at the box-office when it released in theatres. Aanand collaborated with Akshay for Atrangi Re (2021), which also starred Sara Ali Khan and Dhanush, and Raksha Bandhan in 2023.
