Shahid Kapoor and Tripti Dimri to collaborate with Vishal Bhardwaj for an action film

The film, backed by Sajid Nadiadwala, is touted to be a big action commercial entertainer

Shahid Kapoor and Tripti Dimri are set to collaborate with Vishal Bhardwaj on a new action-film, the makers said in a press release on Friday. The film is backed by Sajid Nadiadwala under his banner Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment.

The film is currently untitled but according to the makers, 'It is touted to be a big action commercial entertainer.' It marks Vishal and Shahid's reunion after working together in films like Kaminey (2011), Haider (2014) and Rangoon (2017).

Speaking of the collaboration, Sajid said in a statement, "I am thrilled to join forces with the genius director, my dear friend Vishal Bhardwaj, and the phenomenal powerhouse Shahid Kapoor! It's an honor to welcome the incredibly gifted Tripti Dimri to the #NGEFamily! -Love #SajidNadiadwala"

Vishal added, "I am thrilled to collaborate once again with the incredible Sajid Nadiadwala, one of the finest producers and a dear friend, and the gifted Shahid Kapoor, my trusted talisman. What a delight to have Tripti Dimri, India's National Crush, add her magic to this dream team!"

The filming of the project will begin soon.

Shahid was last seen earlier this year in Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya alongside Kriti Sanon. He recently completed the shoot of Deva, his upcoming actioner which is set to release next year.

Meanwhile, Tripti is gearing up for Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video which is scheduled to be released on October 11. It also stars Rajkummar Rao in the lead.
