Vedang Raina opened up recently about working with Alia Bhatt and Vasan Bala in the upcoming thriller Jigra. He said that the two of them have different approaches when it comes to acting and he learned from her during the film’s shoot. Jigra is helmed by Vasan Bala and tells the story of two siblings, played by Alia and Vedang and how she attempts to rescue him from prison.

Speaking about the experience of working with Alia, Vedang said in an interview with Filmfare, “We have different approaches when it comes to acting and I have learned so much from her. I was just in awe with how she was approaching things and with so much conviction. I shot my first scene with her and I instantly realised why she is where she is. Even when I wasn’t shooting, I would go on the set and watch what she was doing.”

He also opened up about the room for improvisation during the shoot. “Everything in the scene kept changing. We were shooting and it kept changing. I realised you can’t come rigid to Vasan sir’s set. He believes in things flowing more naturally on set. I became comfortable in improvising on the set.”

The film’s teaser trailer was unveiled earlier which gave a glimpse into its intense world.

It was reported this February that the film's shoot had been wrapped. Jigra was originally scheduled to come out on September 27 but it was later announced in June that the film would hit theatres on October 11.

It is produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and Alia’s Eternal Sunshine Productions.
