The teaser trailer of Alia Bhatt and Vedang Raina starrer Jigra was unveiled by the makers on Sunday. The film has been directed by Vasan Bala.

The teaser trailer opens with Alia sitting in a restaurant telling somebody her life story. “Our mother was taken by god, father killed himself,” she says. “Relatives gave us shelter and took a hefty rent. The story is long and my brother has less, very less time.” The man sitting opposite replies “Then let’s blast off the jail walls” as Alia laughs. Subsequent clips suggest that Alia’s brother, played by Vedang Raina, has been imprisoned and we see her train in order to rescue him. We also see her in combat mode, running as an inferno rages behind her. Some scenes also depict the tender love between the brother-sister duo as a modern rendition of ‘Ek Hazaron Mein Meri Behna Hai’ plays in the background.

Before this, multiple posters of the film had been shared by the makers.

It was reported this February that the film's shoot had been wrapped. Jigra was originally scheduled to come out on September 27 but it was later announced in June that the film would hit theatres on October 11.
