Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor-starrer Stree 2 sees spike in collections in third weekend: Report

Directed by Amar Kaushik, the film also stars Pankaj Tripathi, Aparshakti Khurana and Abhishek Banerjee

Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor’s Stree 2 is continuing its reign at the box office. As per Sacnilk.com, the Amar Kaushik directorial has made Rs 458.05 crore in net collections in India. The movie witnessed a double-digit spike on its third Saturday, as it raked in Rs 16.5 crore. Since Wednesday, the film’s collections had witnessed a slight drop. After last Tuesday when it made Rs 11.75 crore, the numbers had dropped to Rs 9.75 crore on Wednesday and Rs 8.5 crore on Thursday and Friday respectively.

As per reports, however, Stree 2 has taken over the collections of Kalki 2898 AD’s hindi version. In terms of occupancy, in its third week, the film has had close to 5000 shows all over India. On Saturday, the total occupancy of Stree 2 was 33.20 per cent with Bengaluru, Pune, and Delhi witnessing the highest footfalls. While Delhi has the highest number of shows, 1048, its occupancy stands at 38 per cent, while Bengaluru’s occupancy is 56 per cent with 296 shows. In Pune, the occupancy is 41.50 per cent with 326 shows. With 991 shows, Mumbai saw an occupancy of 31.25 per cent. Surat has the lowest occupancy of 15.50 per cent despite having 293 shows.

The film also stars Pankaj Tripathi, Aparshakti Khurana and Abhishek Banerjee. Written by Niren Bhatt, it has been produced by Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films.
