The teaser for the Nana Patekar and Utkarsh Sharma starrer Vanvaas was unveiled by the makers on Tuesday. The film is helmed by Gadar 2 director Anil Sharma.

The teaser gives a glimpse into the film’s world. Set in Varanasi, it shows Nana trying to find his son (played by Utkarsh). A subsequent scene shows a garland around Nana’s portrait, building up intrigue.

The makers shared the teaser on their official social media handles and captioned it, “Kuch kahaaniyann le jaati hai humein apnon ke kareeb! (some stories take you towards your loved ones) This festive season, brace yourselves for a rollercoaster ride of emotions!”

Vanvaas is touted as a modern take on the mythological epic Ramayana. As per an earlier press release shared by the makers, the film is “an intriguing story that explores a timeless theme, echoing an ancient tale where duty, honour, and the consequences of one’s actions shape the course of lives.”

The film is written, produced and directed by Anil Sharma and will be released worldwide by Zee Studios on December 20.
