Actor Arjun Kapoor has finally broken his silence on his relationship status with Malaika Arora. Earlier, there were rumours floating around that the couple, who had been in a relationship for the last eight years, had broken up.

On Monday, Arjun attended a Diwali bash, hosted by politician Raj Thackeray at Shivaji Park in Mumbai, with the team of his forthcoming film Singham Again. In a video from the event that has surfaced on social media, somebody from the crowd asks Arjun how Malaika is doing to which he replies, “Relax karo, abhi single hoon (Just relax, I am single now),” confirming that he and Malaika have ended their relationship.

Malaika and Arjun started dating in 2016. The duo, however, had never opened up much about their relationship and kept posting romantic pictures from their vacations as well as wishing each other on birthdays. Malaika was previously married to actor Arbaaz Khan. They have been co-parenting their son Arhaan since their divorce in 2017.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Arjun will be seen as an antagonist in Singham Again, which also stars Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn, Tiger Shroff, Jackie Shroff, Deepika Padukone and Kareena Kapoor Khan. The film is slated to release on Diwali, November 1.
