After the killing of NCP leader Baba Siddique and amidst threats from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, reports state that Salman Khan will stay put the shooting for his upcoming film Sikandar for the next few days at least.

The film will be helmed by AR Murugadoss and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala.

As per a Times Now report, a source close to the actor said that it hasn’t been decided as to how long Salman will be away from shoot. “It is no longer enough to provide him stern security. For some time now, Salman would have to lie really low. He won’t be shooting for anything for quite a while, indefinitely I’d say,” said the source.

The source also added that Sikandar requires extreme dedication from Salman, which he will not be able to provide considering the emotional turmoil he has been undergoing after the sudden demise of Baba Siddique. “Abhi kuch nahin kaha jaa sakta hai (Nothing can be said as of now). Sikandar requires a whole lot of choreographed action. Director Murugadoss needed Salman’s full attention. But now that seems impossible. The way ahead is still very unclear. Right now, the most important thing is Salman and his family’s safety. That won’t be compromised under any circumstance,” the source added.

Many threats, some genuine and some fake, have been issued against Salman in the aftermath of Baba Siddique’s killing. Recently, a WhatsApp message was received on the number of Mumbai Traffic Police threatening Salman to pay up Rs 5 crore or his “fate will be worse than Baba Siddique’s”. The sender later apologised for the message and said that it was “sent by mistake.”
